In the midst of all the excitement and re-capping of the wedding and honeymoon, realised I omitted to mention the slight drama that went on before dinner. Like to think of this as the day when disaster nearly struck...
It seems abit surreal as I recall that fateful Sunday morning when we awoke to find out that Ed's suit had shrunk after visiting the drycleaners. In disbelief, we stared at the crumpled suit and as people were activated in the background, we were promptly rushed down to Ngee Ann City to get that suit replaced. Thankfully, Ed managed to find an almost similar suit which could be altered in time and the dinner went on. *phew*
Needless to say, we got 6-star treatment after that and were repeatedly assured that NOTHING else would go wrong. On hindsight, am glad that it wasn't my wedding gown that had been ruined. Otherwise, I might just be the first bride to march down the aisle in my bermudas.
Besides this slight blip, everything else ran like clockwork and we had a really great time just lounging around in the suite, admiring our view of Esplanade and helping ourselves to the free flow of drinks and snacks at the executive lounge.
Lounging at the Loft Suite:
Loved our personalized bathrobes!
Welcome treat of chocolate coated strawberries and champagne!
Our more modest looking vanilla wedding cake. Yes, the cake tier is just for show!
The espresso machine that kept me well entertained...attempted to try as many flavours as possible without getting a caffeine overdose.
Smiling for the camera before we HAVE to leave *sob*
All in all, we really enjoyed our stay at Fullerton and their efforts to do service recovery were quite commendable. Either that or we were the coolest couple around who managed to take everything in their stride. Oh well, it's all over...thankfully! *sigh of relief*
