As I mentioned last year, I work with a bunch of colleagues who take D&D very seriously. This award winning bunch won best dressed (as samsui women who are superheroes in their own right) 3 years ago while in 2009 (all decked out as playing cards ala Las Vegas) and 2010 (cosplay characters as part of our growing up days), the team was one of the shortlisted nominees but alas fell short of being the winners.
After playing second fiddle for so long, this would be our defining or some might say watershed year where we came, we conquered and we emerged VICTORIOUS. Ladies and Gentlemen, the team is BACK with a vengeance!
To think that we almost didn't make it due to sheer laziness and (gasps) actually contemplated NOT dressing up. However, I was finally lured to go with the promise of the lucky draw (which as usual I didn't win) while my very enthusiastic friends decided to go all out and make our outfit work. *looks around furtively*
Nevertheless, we pulled it together and since we were going to embarrass ourselves anyway, staged a walk worthy of a 包租婆.
