Chilling Out at Robertson Quay

We might never have made it to Mimigar outside Gallery hotel if not because the ramen place that we had wanted to try was closed that fateful day. While I do enjoy grilled meats and stewed items especially on a cold day, it was a restaurant that didn't get me overly excited. Perhaps it's just not my type of cuisine.

Okinawan Dining at Mimigar: The pork neck and pancake was not too bad. Good for people who enjoy variety due to the smaller portion sizes.

Desserts at Laurent Bernard Chocolatier: Their homemade ice cream is really good although it does melt a tad faster than it should. The chocolatey cake/biscuit base dessert was also a great round up to an excellent night.

Been back to Laurent a few times since and the desserts are happy comfort food. It's a great place to go for chill-out girly conversation or when one wants to nurse a cup of tea and pig out on all things chocolate.
