Stepping into Disaster Zone

Must confess, I was alittle unprepared for what I saw when I stepped into our soon-to-be cosy home for a "tile briefing". All I could think was IS THIS DISASTER ZONE MY HOME???!!

It amazes me how so much hacking can be done within a span of 3 days. Almost overnight, our kitchen walls came tumbling down, the balcony had disappeared, the green carpet was ripped out and all I had were newly installed white powder coated windows.

An aside: I still haven't got round to asking what does one mean by white powder coated windows even though every time my ID mentions this, I visualize talcum powder being sprinkled (huh!?)...and of course we ALL know this is so not a correct understanding.

Anyways, this is what I gaped at:

Our demolished kitchen

Living room and balcony are now ONE

Our suddenly barren staircase

For the uninitiated, you might be wondering, So what does one do during a tile briefing? More accurately, the tiler briefed me while I attempted to nod intelligently.

Although I have been trying very hard to visualize what the place might look like when the tiles we have chosen are in its proper place. To-date, still clueless and I harbour fears that our home might either turn out to be a psychedelic nightmare or else some as yet unimaginable disaster.

Oh well...there's ALOT more to go before we can see the final product. Stay tuned for more updates!
