If you were expecting an answer, I have none yet..=)
This term came to mind during a random conversation. Ed was the recipient of strange looks when he mentioned that we were heading to our new home to check out our lights. When queried about the last time we had saw the house, his nonchalant response was just 4 days ago. That was when he got the strange look.
Admittedly, it was a tad late at 10pm to go house visiting...and we did have a discussion with our ID just last saturday. Plus really, the house wouldn't have changed that much in 4 days. However, we figured out that since the lights had JUST been put up that very day, we should at least check them out.
Not withstanding that we usually tend to gravitate to our home whenever we are in that vicinity and at every opportune moment. Hence any excuse is a good excuse!
It's also not so much that we don't trust the ID but it's really very fascinating to check out how the house is all coming together, bit by bit, tile by tile, room by room. So there...I don't think we new house owners-to-be are that extreme yet. *nonchalant look*
Oh well...here's a sneak preview of our lights that we went to check out:
In the master bedroom
In the passage ways
Unfortunately, our prettier lights in the dining room and the living area are not up yet. Will try to post pics when the house is more in order. Meanwhile, had a really fun time switching them on and off.
Just to pre-empt all those scornful comments...I know, it's just a cheap thrill...=P
P.S In case you were wondering why we were so thrilled by the lights in the house, it has been tough stumbling around in the dark house after 8 pm with only our mobile phone lights to peer around.
Post note: Shucks, did I just condemn myself?
