Journeys to Mark Life's Milestones

In the midst of researching potential honeymoon destinations, stumbled upon the Abercrombie & Kent website which impressed me greatly in terms of how they sell a travel experience.

Reading about travel for "celebrations" aptly described as journeys to mark life's milestones to their private jet programme where one has the "privilege to experience an extraordinary journey" makes me feel like their tours are really worth splurging on.

Although I know I'm definitely not going for any of these holidays anytime soon, the following "atas" experiences sure made an interesting read:

Southern Africa: The six-carat safari (15 days)

" Nothing embodies romance like a diamond, and no country is more rewarding for the diamond lover than South Africa."

During this trip, one can have a specially arranged visit to a premiere jeweler where a diamond cutter would demonstrate the proper way to select, cut, polish and facet a diamond. What's more, get to enjoy the outdoors the "glamping" way (glamourous camping) where your safari includes a full-featured spa which is positioned as the perfect relaxing end to a brilliant adventure.

Romance Along the Nile (13 Days)

"Stand together in shared awe at the treasures of Egypt - impossibly beautiful and irresistibly romantic."

Cruise down the Nile on board their luxurious cruise liner and later board a felucca (sailboat) for a romantic reverie along Egypt's lifeline. What's more, one is promised your very own Egyptologist who can escort you privately through the ancient passageways of the pyramids topping this off with a romantic breakfast before the Pyramids where the couple can witness how the Pyramids transform in the rising sun, their limestone surfaces reflecting brilliant hues of rose and mauve - a glorious spectacle little changed from four millennia ago.

Nine World Wonders: Around the World by Private Jet (26 days)

"When the destination is extraordinary, getting there should be too."

Travelling around the world on a private jet, this trip costs a whooping $89,800 per person on a sharing basis. However, one gets to see the nine wonders of the world, private jetting from Samoa to Machu Picchu, Sydney, Angkor Wat, Shwedagon Pagoda, Taj Mahal, Easter Island, Pyramids, Petra. Accompanying travellers throughout the voyage would be a chef and chef's assistant, who hand-select fresh local ingredients to make every in-flight meal a memorable dining occasion.

With marketeers like that, makes me feel like I need more than one honeymoon. *wistful look*
