Place: Conrad Hotel, Bangkok
Targets: 1 couple
Team A: 2 couples and 1 unwitting participant to do set-up
Team B: Decoy couple who joined the targets for drinks
What started as a short getaway snowballed into an intricately executed proposal plan for A which we were more than happy to be part of. It was great fun putting together the room for A and we were basically supposed to:
- Set up the powerpoint in the bedroom and do a sound check;
- Create a path of rose petals leading to the bedroom;
- Arrange 700 red roses into an assortment of floral arrangements throughout the room;
- Ensure that the all important RING was placed on the table together with ONE white rose in the balcony area.
In case you were wondering, those roses you see in flower shops are POST trimming. By the 500th rose, I think we were beginning to wish we had outsourced this portion to the hotel. Nevertheless, we persevered on and there was an amazing amount of satisfaction when everything was finally done done. Do think we outdid ourselves in getting the room P-R-O-P-O-S-A-L worthy. *beams*
Anyways, enough said. Check out our handiwork:
Getting the suite in order...
Mission ACCOMPLISHED!
Proposals are always beautiful and A really really put in alot of hard work.
Besides being involved in such an important project, we of course did the other touristy stuff like eat and shop.
Amazing Platinum!
My favourite dishes ranging from the thinnest crispiest oyster omelette to otah otah as well as grilled pork neck, fried chicken wings, Phad Thai variations and sharks fin soup!
Our hotel room and scrumptious breakfast each morning. Love the honey baked ham!
Although I bought alot more than I really needed and ate more than I should, guess that's what holidays are all about...and it was an even more memorable break when spent with good friends as well as being part of a beautiful proposal.
