New Season

Had a blogging hiatus since I ushered in the New Year and shared my focus areas for 2009. Guess I started getting preoccupied and as laziness sat in, realised I have been silent for a month!

Excuses aside...to all my faithful readers out there, I'm back in action for some much belated updates!

Since 1 Jan, I have officially moved over to do sightseeing and attractions work (this is as Leisure as it gets). This reality finally set in when I had to physically move myself to another floor and settle into a new cube.

Although I was happy at being able to take on a different portfolio and gear up for new challenges, there was also a tinge of reluctance in having to bid farewell to my dear planning folks who had made my 8th floor stopover so much more fun.

Besides, the mere thought of having to re-orientate myself to a new environment, new bosses, get to know new colleagues was alittle bit daunting. Reminding myself repeatedly that this was part and parcel of the change process, I got ready to downsize to a MUCH much smaller cube.

As I embraced the last few moments in my soon-to-be-old 'bungalow-sized' cube, decided to remember my dear friends in their quirky moments:

My fellow co-workers cum snackers who always supported my snack cravings and foodie desires. Also, no prizes for guessing which cube is mine...

This is going to be a new season and it's time to embrace the year ahead and re-find my value-add as I settle down into a different sort of planning work. *nods positively*

Can I just lament once again...Why can't cubes move with their owners!?? *looks around smallish cube and sighs*

P.S The clutter has returned ever so quickly to my spick and span (for all of 2 weeks) new work space. It amazes me sometimes how quickly the mess can return. Finally concluded that I should just embrace my natural self. *grins*

P.S.S People have opined that it's difficult to guess my untidy inclinations especially in view of my housework obsession. Would just like to highlight they are TWO different scenarios.
