It was a lovely day for a division retreat and the sunny weather held up as we headed out to Sentosa to experience its newest offerings: Segway Eco Adventure and the latest show, Desperados at Cineblast.
1. Gogreen Segway® Eco Adventure
Touted as Asia's FIRST and ONLY thrilling Segway® Eco Ride, our participation apparently would support the Gogreen project. [Errr...duly noted] *doubtful look*
Gogreen or not, apparently beach police in Florida use this machine as a nifty mode of transport and if you watch Paul Blart: Mall Cop, it seems like the de rigueur gadget to have.
Anyways, it was great fun learning how to ride the Segway. Although we started out feeling wary about balancing on this precarious-looking object, things definitely got better after a few practice rounds within the circuit. By the time we hit the beach for our Eco Adventure, we were zooming along confidently and all set to go faster. *whee*
Unfortunately, I got too complacent and during a distracted moment of looking at other things BESIDES where I'm going, the machine stalled in the sand and I fell off. *picture Ee falling in slow-mo as she tumbles forward*
Bruises aside (which are now all over my left heel), this machine remains a fun mode of transport although I would recommend wearing covered footwear (slippers are a no-no) which would offer better protection for the feet.

Group huddle just for the camera...After a hard day's workout in the sun, it was a real relief to step into air conditioned comfort for this virtual shoot-out blast. We got to ride on motion-based saddles and 'gallop' through this movie while 'shooting' bandits.
By some amazing fluke, I actually managed to get TOP scorer the very first time. *huh?* Perhaps it does help to sit in the first row and just keep shooting at every single thing in sight.
All in all, it was certainly a great way to end a Friday and start my weekend of housework and rest!
