Lunchtime Pit Stop

After hearing so much about Oriole cafe (same owners as Whitebait and Kale), I was happy to steal away from the office for a nice mid-week perk me up meal.

Although I was quite content with my sandwich, the fries with aioli was the real winner for me. The aioli dip was a nice complement to the flavourfully salted wedges and this side makes a wonderful carbo treat. As I'm not a big fan of wedges, this is saying ALOT.

For those who want a non-carbo option, the portobello salad is another great choice especially since the fries are a MUST ORDER.

As Oriole was also known for their coffee, I decided to be adventurous and try their cold brew, a brewing method which supposedly makes the coffee taste naturally sweeter due to its lower acidity. Although this didn't quite suit my coffee palate, they do have a fairly extensive list of coffees which I would like to try some day.

Overall, a great place to chill out and worthy of repeat visits be it for dessert, brunch or even just to have their fries. *drool*
