Happy Hour Hunting

In search of a drinking hole...

Old habits die hard. Part of the settling in process was also ensuring that we found a watering hole that had (a) good happy hour prices and (b) near our office just like good old Regent and Traders.

While it did take us longer than usual to identify a few favourites and happy hours here are not quite as good a deal as Singapore. Nevertheless, the great views and surprisingly good whiskeys have kept us satiated. *hic*

A glimpse of Beijing from China Bar, Hyatt
Cheap me loves free peanuts and nibbles...

Experiencing Malt, a dedicated whisky bar which also makes a mean pork chop...don't ask me why I opted for a martini

China Bar which has great 1-1 deals from 6-7 pm and yummy free flow nibbles, I sometimes think we are on their list of cheapskates

A recent whisky craze also led to an investment in whiskey glasses and ice cube trays which allows us to make our own spherical ice balls.

Post note: Mortons is finally open in Beijing and guess what, their martini cocktails and free flow steak sandwiches are part of their happy hour offerings. *hooray*
