Reminiscing Nippon Land

I have been eating too well of late but Yumeya (located along Mohamed Sultan) is a place worth its calories. After all that excellent eating in Japan, we have been hard pressed to find acceptable options in Singapore. I have since abstained from unagi post my life changing encounter in Kyoto.

While dining at Yumeya doesn't come cheap, the quality is above average and good to visit if one enjoys Japanese pub grub (yakitori and small bites) washed down with sake or Asahi beer. Memorable dishes for me were the special maki, fish roe, beef stuffed with enoki mushrooms and the fragrant garlic fried rice.

It's always nice to have a good meal after a hard day's work. *contented sighs*

Speaking of good Japanese dining, had a perk-me-up experience at Aoki recently. Let me know if you happen to be in the Orchard vicinity and would like a good lunch. Would love to have another excuse to return.
