A Season of Remembering

More than just hot cross buns and easter eggs (just love the specially imported goodies that I see in supermarkets!!), this has been a weekend of reflection as we celebrate Good Friday (in remembrance of what Christ has done for us) and Easter (in celebration of the newfound life we have in Christ).

During worship, the following songs were and still are a poignant reminder of the work that has been completed and the motivation behind this seemingly 'senseless' sacrifice:

Amazing Love

I'm forgiven, because you were forsaken
I'm accepted, you were condemned
I'm alive and well, your spirit is within me
Because you died and rose again

Chorus:
Amazing Love, how can it be
That you my king should die for me
Amazing Love, I know it's true
It's my joy to honor you,
In all I do, to honor you

Bridge:
You are my King,
You are my king,
Jesus you are my King,
Jesus you are my King

All for Love

All for love, a Father gave
For only love could make a way
All for love, the heavens cried for love was crucified

Pre-Chorus:
How many times have I broken Your heart
But still You forgive if only I ask
And how many times have You heard me pray
Draw near to me

Chorus:
Everything I need is You
My beginning, my forever
Everything I need is You

Let me sing all for love
I will join the angel song
Ever holy is the Lord
King of glory, King of all

All for love a Savior prayed
Abba Father, have Your way
Though they know not what they do
Let the cross draw man to You, to You
To You, to You

"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast."

Ephesians 2: 8-9
