In fact, I reached the following conclusions post first weekend:
- Should NEVER have rejected all our moms' offers to participate in this house cleaning exercise. What was I thinking and who was I kidding when I thought we could do this all by ourselves.
- Began to appreciate the hard work our moms put in keeping the home clean and comfortable.
- We NEED a part time maid.
[All you naysayers out there, STOP laughing!]
Must say though, it's really quite appalling how fast the dust can accumulate in barely half an hour. After mopping the entire home TWICE, it was unbelievable how my floor could still feel dusty!?
My housework breakthrough finally came only after we got a super duper turbo charged high powered vacumn cleaner. Pleased to update that I have never looked back since. The way it sucks up all the dust still leaves me in awe and for once....my floor actually FELT clean. *amazed look*
Too late though..my arms ache from all that house cleaning. *sigh*
Post note: I found out later that it's perfectly normal for the floor to feel dusty in a newly renovated home. In fact, it would take about a month before the debris, cement, powder like substance clears off. To think I wasted so much time cleaning a naturally dusty house. Should have just left the place alone..for awhile at least.
