Cooking for Love

In view of the LOOONG weekend, Ed decided to impress me with his cooking and whip up a storm in the kitchen. After my attempts with the omelette and bak ku teh, I was more than happy to let him take over while I was the kitchen aid.

The menu as follows:
  1. Starter: Portobello mushrooms stuffed with capsicum, zucchini and onions and topped with aged cheddar cheese
  2. Main: Lamb rack marinated with red wine and wholegrain djon mustard (medium done)
  3. Dessert: Fruits
  4. Snack: Pound cake and ice cream
Getting into action...

Unveiling the masterpiece!

As you can see, the food tasted as good (or even better) as it looks!
The evidence: we devoured everything in 15 minutes flat after 1.5 hours of labouring in the kitchen. *sigh*

Realised too that I have a hidden talent in chopping. In fact, am increasingly convinced that I should just let Ed take over and pamper me instead. *nods vigourously*

Even though the weekend was ending and work beckoned, it was still really nice to be able to stay at home, enjoy a home-cooked meal while sipping a glass of wine. Housework or otherwise...*contented look*
