Hearty fellowship

This has been a season of MUCH eating in the name of catching up as we savour the last few moments of 2008. Am also really thankful for friends who always proactively gather the group for a good meal and awesome conversation.

Budget conscious gals that we now were, we headed to Hyang-to-gol Korean Restaurant after being reassured that they served great food at reasonable prices.

This was a feast to remember and the only lingering thought I had was, "Why didn't I find out about this place earlier?!"

One highlight for me was that we didn't need to cook the meats ourselves! At all times, there would be someone cooking the beef, pork and soup for us while we watched in fascination and readied our chopsticks in preparation.

A visual presentation of pork being cooked by the experts. Starting with the veggies (top left), the lady slowly added in the raw pork (top right) and stir fried the combination (bottom left). After about 10 min, this dish was ready for devouring (bottom right).

There were definitely many things worth going back for. Ranging from the starters to the really refreshing pomelo and pinenut drink served chilled. My other favourite was the seafood soup...it was so good I could have drank up every single drop if not for my very full tummy.

Satiated smiles for the camera...

I'm definitely going back! *anticipative sniffs*
