Verving on a Monday Night

In celebration of a fellow colleague's upcoming wedding, a bunch of less than adventurous souls decided to head to Verve for her hen's night.

Even without any further elaboration, guess you can already anticipate the "excitement" that one can possibly have on a MONDAY night. When other divisions found out about our "plan", there was a sense of disbelief as well as incredulousness. Must confess our plans seemed quite tame compared to other accounts of stripper action, non-stop drinking as well as the many oft embarrassing tasks the poor bride-to-be was subjected to.

Nevertheless, we persevered in our "plan" and I think we all had good fun just hanging out, having undistracted conversations while pigging out and nursing a drink. *beams*

Honestly, the food was fairly average and it's not a place where I would die die must return. However, the ambience made up for the less than stellar nosh and on a balmy evening, it would be a great place for alfresco dining. In fact, this might make a great chilling out place for after or pre-dinner drinks especially since there's a daily happy hour from 5-7 pm with 1 for 1 cocktails and martinis as well as FREE pizza at the bar. *hoorah*

[Starting from the left clockwise] Duck and hoisin sauce pizza, calamari, crab in light tomato cream sauce, focaccia with balsamic vinegar/olive oil dips as well as chocolate fondant cake and ice cream...

During the course of the night, we each had to think of ONE talent that we had and share this with the group. It definitely gave me better insight in terms of how my colleagues (who are fast becoming friends) think as well as their nature and personality.

Moreover, it was a reminder for me that each of us has been blessed with various talents and giftings which we can use to complement our other half, value-add to our team (work or otherwise) as well as help a friend in need. The question is what do we make of them?

So what's your talent? =)
